| SCIMITAR has been designed to provide a secure
combat net communications system to include a frequency agile
ability for use in areas where the ECM threat is high. SCIMITAR
V (VHF vehicle radio) Freq 30-88MHz - 2320 channels.Frequency
30-88 mcs, 25 kc spacing, modes: FM, Secure, digital FM voice,
FM data, and frequency hopping. We are selling the vehicle-mountable
version complete with 50 watt Amplifier These radios accept
all programming from the front panel - no fill gun required
and need nothing more complicated than a standard BCN co-ax
connector to join to an Antenna. SCIMITAR units are still in
use with the British Army and Navy Special forces, it is known
to be in use with Jordan, Portugal, Turkey and Sweden. Manufactured
by Plessey the average cost of a SCIMITAR radio is probably
in the area of £8,000. We are pleased to offer these very
rare radios in vehicle mountable role complete with power in
cable and Amp to radio cable so all you need is power and an
Antenna to have a very interesting radio set up. £500
